A faculty member from the College of Agriculture at Wasit University participated on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, as a committee member in the dissertation defense for a Ph.D. candidate at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra. The researcher, Najlaa Hussein Mohammed, presented her thesis titled “Isolation and Diagnosis of Fungi Causing Blight and Spot Diseases on Tomatoes and Their Control Using Chemically and Biologically Engineered Nano Compounds.” Congratulations to the esteemed colleague, Najlaa Hussein Mohammed, a lecturer in the Plant Protection Department, on achieving her Ph.D. We extend our congratulations to the supervisors, Dr. Mohammed Amer Faiad and Dr. Salah Al-Laibi.

The College of Agriculture will discuss a master’s thesis on Sunday, January 14, 2024, for the student (Mohammed Abdullah Manati Al-Hashemi) from the Department of Soil Science and Water Resources at the College of Agriculture, Wasit University. The thesis is titled “Hydro-Physical Study of the Waters and Sediments of the Tigris River and Their Impact on the Engineering Standards of the River Section within the City of Kut.” The defense took place in the late Professor Shihab Hamid Al-Tamimi Hall at the College of Agriculture, Wasit University. The examining committee included the following professors: 1. Prof. Hussein Ghaith Abdul Kalabi / University of Kufa, Chairman 2. Prof. Khurraman Hussein Habib Al-Khazai / Wasit University, Member 3.
