Introduction to the Department:

The Animal Wealth Department was established in conjunction with the founding of the College of Agriculture in 2008. The department aims to graduate agricultural professionals specialized in animal production, contributing to the agricultural sector through work in the breeding, care, and production of various farm animals (cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, and fish) within specialized projects. This is achieved by adopting proper scientific methods in animal husbandry to enhance the productive and economic levels of this sector, providing a healthy food source for the community.

Department Objectives:

The department aims to prepare and graduate agricultural professionals specialized in animal wealth by providing them with agricultural sciences related to various specificities of animal husbandry. This includes large animals (cattle, buffalo, sheep) and poultry, covering aspects such as management, nutrition, and care. The focus is on practical aspects of this specialization through scientific visits and observations to animal wealth projects in the province.
